Sherrill slips into contention

In a less-than-stellar week across the board, Duane Sherrill came away with the best record in last week’s “On the Line” poll.

Sherrill finished with six correct picks, including the only prediction of Lebanon’s narrow win over Cookeville.

“The tires are warmed up, and I’m ready to make my move to the front of the pack,” said the noted NASCAR fan, who was the only picker to guess more than one high school game correctly. Rob Nunley was the only panelist to pick the Chargers over Houston, but he and James Clark each just finished 5-5, while Pat Zechman, Dale Stubblefield and guest picker Jay Walker were all 4-6.
