Kick-Off Horse Show set for Saturday at fairgrounds
It’s almost fair time and that means it’s time for the Kick-Off Fun Horse Show held in conjunction with the Warren County A&L Fair.
The event, sponsored annually by the Warren County Saddle Club, will be Sat., Sept. 11 at the arena behind the fairgrounds starting at noon. The date is misprinted in the fair catalog as to be held Sept. 16.
Many fun classes, such as catalog race, potato drop, bat-n-bucket and through the barrel will be featured, much to the amusement of the attendees. More serious classes are offered also: halter division for gaited and quarter horses, pole bending, western pleasure, trail class and the popular barrel races. There is no admission or entry fees and trophies are awarded to three places.
Saddle club president Eric Jett welcomes all interested persons to attend. “This is a fun show, we are all laid back and ready for a good time. Bring the kids out and we will put them on a horse. People of the community can meet the saddle club members and see what we are all about.” said Jett.
