Adventists planting new church

After 55 years of presence in McMinnville, the local Seventh-day Adventist Church is involved in the process of planting a new church in the county. The new church will have a more contemporary flavor, a different style of worship and will be geared to reach out to people who at present do not attend church or proclaim any church affiliation whatsoever.

“We praise the Lord for the growth of our community which has broadened our vision to reach out and work to make the Gospel of Christ known to a larger segment of the population,” said Pastor Joe A. Blevins. “We are carefully planning and prayerfully considering how our group can contribute most beneficially to both the community at large and all of the Evangelical Christian churches who are also praying for great spiritual revival in our area.”

“We are so excited about this project that we wanted to share the news of our vision to expand God’s Kingdom with the whole community,” the senior minister continued. “Furthermore, we want to extend our thanks to the established congregation of the McMinnville church who have so selflessly stood behind our group with prayer and lent their support to our efforts.”
