March 13: Watertown Excursion Train rolls
The law in Dry Gulch will have something to say about this brazen robbery, however, as the Tennessee Central Railway Museum’s Watertown Excursion Train rolls March 13. Enjoy travel as it was during the Golden Age of American passenger trains.
After arriving in Watertown (despite the best efforts of the two gangs), passengers will deboard for lunch and shopping. During the layover, passengers can make their way to the small town of Dry Gulch (right alongside the train boarding platform) and see if the Wilson & Mackle Gangs get away with their ill-gotten gains.
Departure time for the Watertown Train Robbery Excursion Train is 9 a.m., with boarding half an hour before departure. Refreshments and souvenirs will be for sale on board the train. Return time from Watertown is around 3:45 p.m. Free parking is available at the boarding location. Ticket prices range from $17 for children’s regular or first class seats to $39 for first class seats.
