There’s life after 40 in Dallas Glitz
Green takes readers into the hair salon and takes a look at the mechanics of the beauty and cosmetics industry while unveiling the glamorous world of the elite and their hairstylists. Dallas Glitz introduces Dana and Jackie, two 40-year-olds on a last ditch effort for love. When a client gives Dana a gift certificate to a swanky, upscale restaurant for dinner, she and Jackie embark on an adventure rife with love and betrayal. At the restaurant, both ladies meet the men of their dreams. Dana falls for a cosmetic executive named Tim Ballard. As romance blossoms, Dana’s world begins to crumble. Tim has a wife in Montana and a pending lawsuit from a former lover.
Distraught, Dana turns to Jackie for comfort, but Jackie has her own affair going on with one of her patrons – a married doctor. Dana feels betrayed, and she confronts Jackie, causing a rift in their friendship. The two finally resolve their differences and attend Tim’s trial for catharsis, but it only brings more heartache.
Deciding to give it one more chance, they attend the annual Crystal Ball, but will they finally find the love they are looking for?
A story about determination and the meaning of friendship, Dallas Glitz reminds readers that it is never too late to find true love.
