Alleged meth lab found
An alleged meth lab and several grams of finished product resulted in the arrest of a Smartt Station pair at their residence Tuesday afternoon.
Charged with the manufacture of a schedule II drug and possession for resale of a schedule II drug were Roger Lindon Womack, 38, and Atina Marie Lyons, 36, both of 383 Smartt Station Road.
According to Sheriff Jackie Matheny, deputies, upon receiving information of suspicious activity, investigated claims of a meth lab at the residence. After obtaining a search warrant, he said deputies found numerous items used in the production of methamphetamine, as well as numerous layered liquids used to transform the chemicals into the finished product.
Womack and Lyons are each being held on $20,000 bond. They will face charges in court March 2.
