April 24: WC Princess Pageant seeks entrants
The fifth annual Warren County Princess Pageant for girls ages 12 to 14 will be an event of April 24 at the Warren County High School Auditorium, beginning at 7 p.m. WCHS Junior Varsity Pioneerettes Dance Team is sponsoring the competition.
Reigning Warren County Princess Ashlin Martin, daughter of Tim and Debi Martin, will make award presentations to the new title-holder, runners-up and Miss Congeniality and Miss Photogenic. She is a freshman at the high school.
To qualify, girls must be residents of Warren County, single, never been married or pregnant.
Applications must be postmarked by April 10, with no exceptions, to qualify for entry in the pageant. Rehearsal will be conducted at the pageant site April 23 at 6 p.m. and individual interviews will be conducted prior to the start of the pageant. Each contestant must be present for both preliminaries to quality for the competition.
The rehearsal and interview session require age appropriate wearing apparel and contestants will wear formal attire for the pageant.
Recognition and awards will be presented to the winner, first, second, third and fourth runners-up, Miss Congeniality and Miss Photogenic.
The application form, $35 entry fee, and a wallet size photograph of the participant must be submitted. The entry forms are available at Kathy’s Bridal and Formal Wear, Dream Maker Bridal, Southern Traditions, and the school offices.
