Shelter employees doing what they can

This letter is regarding a letter in the newspaper about the animal shelter. When I read that letter, it really bothered me.

You see, I work in an animal clinic here in McMinnville and I know what Mrs. Pawlak said is so far from the truth. I know we spay and neuter anywhere from six to 10 animals a week, and at that time we give them a rabies shot. I know Beth gives them other shots when they are there. I know all of this for a fact.

Mrs. Pawlak also states animals are sick. Once again I know, Beth does the best to get any sick animal seen by a vet, and does the best for the animal. I hear Beth on the radio with pets of the week. She requested help winterizing the shelter. Mrs. Pawlak did you hear her say that?

You try taking care of 75 or more animals with little help and see how your yard looks. I’m not trying to make anyone mad, but before you complain, why don’t you try to help out at the shelter.

If you see the yard needs mowing, mow it. You know she does the best she can. It hurt my feelings knowing you could write a letter saying how bad it is there. Beth has turned that shelter around. I praise her for her hard work. She does the best she can — if you stopped in once in a while to volunteer, you would know it.
Sincerely,
Tonya Seamons,
