Bowlers fall short at home
Warren County High School’s boys bowling team was handed its first loss Monday at Garden City Bowl, as visiting Spring Hill swept both the Pioneers and Lady Pioneers by lopsided margins.
Spring Hill’s boys took 22 of the 27 total points available in the match, while Warren County managed just five in the defeat. Chris Mullican had the high series for the Pioneers, rolling a 533, and Tommy Jones turned in the highest game among the WCHS bowlers with a 207.
In girls’ play, Spring Hill took 22-1/2 points, while the Lady Pioneers had 4-1/2. Nicole Jones had a big day in the losing effort for WCHS, bowling a team-high game of 187 and a high series of 470.
Warren County returns to the lanes Monday, when they travel to take on Shelbyville.
