Ross hears 56-person docket

A 56-person docket was heard Tuesday by Judge Larry Ross in General Sessions Court.

Included in court action:

• Tim (Bubba) Swoape was bound over to the grand jury on charges of aggravated rape and possession of drugs.

• Dustin Chumley was directed to serve 120 days or go into in-patient treatment, pay $50 plus costs and attend anger management courses for assault.

• Leonard B. Johnson was instructed to serve 10 days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $50 plus costs and attend anger management classes for assault.

• Billy Jack Nelson was ordered to serve 10 days of a six-month sentence and pay $50 plus costs for evading arrest.

• Brian Devoy Allen was issued an 11-29 probationary sentence and must pay $750 plus costs for possession of drugs.

• Vivian Ortiz was issued an 11-29 probationary sentence and must pay $150 plus costs, make restitution and perform 16 hours public service work for theft.

• Charles Burger was ordered to serve 40 days of an 11-29 sentence and pay $125 plus costs for theft and failure to appear in court.

• Dale McClusky was given a six-month probationary sentence and must pay $10 plus costs and perform eight hours public service work for passing two worthless checks totaling $30.

• Sherry Carter was handed a six-month probationary sentence and must pay $20 plus costs and perform eight hours public service work for passing a worthless check in the amount of $20.

• Jeremiah Rhea was issued a six-month probationary sentence and must pay $20 plus costs and perform eight hours public service work for passing a worthless check in the amount of $51.

• Roger Dale Tackett must serve 10 days and pay $10 plus costs for criminal trespassing and public intoxication.

• Christopher B. Morton was directed to serve 12 days of a six-month sentence and pay $225 plus costs for consumption of alcohol under the age of 21, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear in court.

• Hector Garcia was ordered to serve 14 days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $410 plus costs and forfeit his driver’s license for one year for DUI, failure to appear in court and driving without a license.

• Tad Jeremy Alfrey was fined $10 plus costs and released on time served for public intoxication.

• Adrian M. Aguilar was directed to serve 30 days and pay $50 plus costs for fourth-offense public intoxication.

• Diana Norris was given a six-month probationary sentence and must pay $10 plus costs and perform 16 hours public service work for harassment by phone.

• Roger Bailey must serve 48 hours and have his probation extended by three months for violation of probation.

• Martha Saylor must serve 20 days for contempt of court.

Clarification

• Barbara Dunlap of Hennessee Bridge Road, Rock Island, who is the owner of Barbara’s Hair Fantasy in Midway, is not the Barbara Dunlap charged with DUI on the June 18 docket.
