Barnes appears on TV Saturday

Jennifer Barnes, a 1998 graduate of Warren County High School, will appear on television Saturday as a member of the University of Memphis Dance Team.

The squad recently competed in the NDA Collegiate National Champion-ship held April 4 and 5 in Daytona, Fla., receiving second place honors from a field of the nation’s top 25 teams.

The event will be televised at 1 p.m. on CBS Sports.

Barnes, a dance team captain, attends the university on a dance scholarship. In her four years on the squad, the group has earned an eighth place, fourth place, second place and the 2000 National Championship title.

The daughter of Jimmy and Paula Barnes, she is pursuing a degree in real estate.
