Elkins set to be Ladies Day speaker

Corinne Elkins of Memphis will be guest speaker for East End Church of Christ’s Ladies Day slated April 27 at 9:30 a.m. Registration will take place from 9 to 9:30 a.m. and lunch will be served in the annex building immediately after the program. A nursery will be available but attendants are not being provided.

“Take Me Away? from the stress of this life” is the theme being emphasized by Mrs. Elkins, a native Tennessean.

Her husband is associated with the Memphis School of Preaching as an instructor and serves in its public relations department. In her role as a minister’s wife, Mrs. Elkins has opened her home and served as hostess to many over the years. She is known for her warm hospitality.

Mrs. Elkins as retired following 28 years with Harding Academy in Memphis. For several years, she has been one of the Ladies Class speakers at the Memphis School of Preaching Lectureship and is often asked to serve as speaker for Ladies Day programs, as well.

Her family is her pride and joy. The Elkins couple has been blessed with three daughters and three grandchildren.

Her hobbies are entertaining, reading and traveling. She has visited countries outside the United States and enjoys history, beautiful architecture and antiques. She also collects cards, pictures and notes displaying three little girls.
