Brock wants to keep spot on commission

BROCK
Incumbent 1st District County Commissioner Sally Brock has announced her candidacy for a second term on the commission.

“I want to continue the work we’ve started,” Brock said in announcing her candidacy. “I would like to see us complete the jail because that’s something we’ve been working on for a long time now.”

Brock says more jobs and better education for the county’s children are tops on her list for the future of the county.

“I want to see our county prosper,” Brock said. “We need to make sure there are jobs available for our citizens and that we have good school facilities to aid in our children’s education.”

As an incumbent commissioner, Brock said she has maintained an open-door policy, something she thinks is key in properly representing the people of her district.

“I’m always open to suggestions and comments,” Brock said. “I consider myself a public servant and I urge people to call or write me with their ideas and concerns.”

Brock is married to Everett Brock and has two stepchildren, Denton and Barry. She is a member of First United Methodist Church.
