Idols of the King runs through April 21

All hail the king? “The King of Rock and Roll” that is! Cumberland County Playhouse celebrates the life of a legend with its production of Idols of the King on the Mainstage through April 21. Shows begin at 7:30 p.m.

Idols of the King highlights “The King,” his songs and the fans that keep him alive. It’s a Blue Suede musical of Love Me Tender souvenirs from the Heartbreak Hotel. Laugh and cry with the fans that worshipped him as the musical rocks to his hits.

Twenty years have passed since the “alleged death” of “The King,” but he still continues to sell records, inspire legions of worshipping fans and preside over quickie weddings in Las Vegas.

Idols features renowned impersonator Scot Bruce, and has been licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises for this limited engagement at the Cumberland County Playhouse. Are you Lonesome Tonight? Then slap on your Blue Suede Shoes and join others for Idols of the King.
