Grieves honored with party

A surprise 80th birthday celebration was given for Myrtle S. Grieves by her sons and their wives, Bill and Darlene Brown and Tommy and Carla Savage. Joining in the celebration was her husband Lavergne Grieves.

The birthday gathering was held at Irving College Baptist Church with approximately 60 relatives and friends in attendance.

Special guests were her grandchildren, Amy and Jimmy Cassidy, Jessica and Whitney Brown, Brandon, Kendra and Daniel Savage. Great-grandchildren are Alex Cassidy and Sidney Cassidy.

Many humorous stories were shared by guests in honor of the birthday girl. She is retired from Savage Farm Nursery and currently serves as a caregiver.
