Furlon W. Bryant, 58

Spencer resident and Van Buren County native Furlon W. Bryant, 58, died unexpectedly the week of June 6 at his home.

A retired factory worker and a member of Mt. Elim Baptist Church, he was the son of Euna W. Bryant of Spencer, and the late Butler Bryant, who died in 1963.

He is survived by son, Shannon Bryant of Pikeville; daughters, Pamela R. McDonald and Emma Scott, both of Spencer, Kimberly Dawson of Pikeville and Amanda Bryant of Sparta; sister, Patricia Bryant Hodges of McMinnville; and five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home Spencer Chapel with Steve Breedlove, Billy Ray Boyd and Don Rigsby officiating. Burial will follow at Long Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Spencer Chapel.
