Barr’s Furniture is place for bedding
If you’re not getting quality rest on your current bed, then you need to pay a visit to Barr’s Furniture on Beersheba Street. The business has just put the finishing touches on a new addition that allows customers to get comfortable with about 20 different types of mattresses.
‘We did this five years ago in our Shelbyville store and we saw a big increase in bedding sales,’ said store owner Earl Barr. ‘So we know this concept works. If you’re looking for a mattress set, we should be able to fill the need.’
What I like about the display is the mattresses are displayed from the lower end all the way up to the high-end merchandise. And since the bedding display is in a back corner of the store, with blue walls and white clouds, it gives customers a chance to lie down and relax.
‘Bedding is just like a pair of shoes. You have to try it on to see how it fits,’ said Mark Barr, the son of Earl and Hazel, who operates the Shelbyville store. ‘You really have to lie down and try it out to see how you like it.’
The Barr’s line includes mattresses from Sealy, the No. 1 mattress dealer in the nation, and Jamison, the No. 1 mattress dealer in Tennessee. Jamison was long based out of Franklin but recently moved to Gallatin.
Barr’s is a gold star dealer for both Sealy and Jamison, which means they can offer the best price and best selection. The new bedding showroom allows customers to see the same types of mattresses that would normally take two or three stops at other stores to see.
And remember, when you’re dealing with Barr’s, you always get free delivery and free removal of your old bedding if you wish.
