Eagles spoil Senior Night for Bronco baseball team

Eagleville defeated Boyd 10-0 in five innings, as Jon Bryant took the loss for Boyd. Bryant gave up seven hits and two walks, while fanning two batters. Chris Jutkafshy got the win allowing one hit, two walks and striking out three.
After the game Boyd recognized its eight seniors: Bryant, Josh Burton, Tyler Hillis, Lance Chandler, Mitchell Young, Jon Davis, David Watson and Isaiah White, with several gifts of appreciation for their hard work over the past four seasons.
The Eagles got on the scoreboard in the top of the first when Tyler Davenport singled and swiped second with one out. James Blackwell followed with a doubled off the center field fence, which scored Davenport. Blackwell later scored on a error and pass ball to put Eagleville out in front 2-0.
With two out in the bottom of the firs Hillis drew a walk, but the next batter went down swinging, leaving the runner on base.
Tony Adams doubled to lead things off for Eagleville in the top of the second, but Bryant and his defense sat down the next three batters in order to get out of the inning.
Josh Burton reached on an error to start things off in the bottom of the second for the Broncos. A sac-bunt by David Watson moved the runner, but Boyd failed to score the runner.
Two hits and an error scored two more runs for Eagleville in the top of the third. With one out Davenport singled and the next batter was hit by a pitch. Bryant fanned the next batters, but with two outs Kyle Taylor singled and a throwing error, ended up scoring two runs.
Once again the Broncos put their leadoff runner aboard when Davis drew a walk. But the Eagles got the next three batters on ground balls to end the inning.
Eagleville secured the win in the top of the fourth by sending five more runs across the plate off of one error a pass ball, and three hits.
In the bottom of the fifth the Broncos first hit came when Logan Walker led things off with a single. Caleb Tilton flied out to center and Bryant lined out with Walker getting caught off base for the game-ending double play.
