Wooten, Pelham wed in Sevierville
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Tracy and Mattie Wooten of Clarksville, and the late Lily McClanahan of Dover. The bridegroom is the grandson of Billy and Gloria Jones, and the late H.T. ‘Zeke’ and Gwendoline Pelham.
A program of piano and organ music was provided by Garrett Martin, with Ginger Tucker providing vocals. Wayne Wooten was the guitarist. A guest registry was presided by Erica Grove and Bethany McCaslin.
Miss Wooten was resplendent in her diamond white haltertop satin gown with caf?? accented waist and hem. The bodice was encrusted with beads, crystals and embroidery, embellishing the hem and cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of all white roses, spider mums and stargazer lilies, with touches of red berries.
Cindy Tucker served the bride as matron of honor, with Ginger Tucker being chosen as the maid of honor. Her bridesmaids were Stacy Hill, Megan Cleghern, Whitney Pelham and Kristin Cleghern.
John Pelham, father of the groom was the best man, with Ben Cantrell, Trever Tummins, Chris Patton, Scott Dunham, Nick Pelham and Feras Sadik serving as groomsmen.
Forest Tucker was the wedding usher, along with junior ushers Weston and Parker Johnson. Canaan Tucker was the ring bearer.
A reception was held for the bride and groom following the ceremony, with approximately 200 guests in attendance. The gala was held at The Lodge at Hidden Mountain Resort in Pigeon Forge. Guests enjoyed a Thanksgiving-style buffet dinner.
The wedding cake was a seven-tiered stacked creation baked and assembled by the groom’s grandmother Gloria Jones. The layers alternated in flavors of vanilla, Italian creme, red velvet, lemon and pumpkin spice to correlate the autumn theme. It was finished with vanilla butter cream frosting, and adorned with fresh autumn flowers. Guests were also served a milk chocolate groom’s cake with chocolate butter cream frosting.
Following a wedding trip to the Mexican Riviera, the couple are residing in McMinnville.
