Lisa Hobbs photo Charles Slaughter is the first city employee to be named Employee of the Quarter for 2008 after being nominated by his fellow employees. He has spent 21 years in the Public Works Department and is currently the streets lead worker. Slaughter will be in the running for the city’s Employee of the Year Award.
