Clinton T. (Clint) Walker, 27
He is survived by his loving parents, Wanda Walker of Knoxville and Dr. Thomas Walker of Gatlinburg, his sister Rachel of Shreveport, La., and stepfather, Harold Lawhorn of Knoxville.
A licensed massage therapist who brought love and joy to all who knew him, Clint was a very special young man. Diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism, as a child, Clint had an estimated 200 I.Q., was fluent in Japanese, and was studying microbiology at the University of Tennessee. His dream was to get a PhD and teach biology and conduct research in biogenetics. Clint was also a second-degree Black Belt in Kung Fu Karate and was a “gentle giant,” who once made a verified leg press of 1,200 pounds. As a young boxer his hand speed was clocked at that of famed boxer Roy Jones, Jr.
He is also survived by many loving friends and family, including several uncles, aunts and cousins, including Aunt Dora and Uncles E.J. and Les. A master gamer, Clint had friends around the world. His special friends include Paul, Ian, Taryn, Margaret, and his “special aunties” Grace, Shirley and Lisa. He is also remembered by his special friends “adopted big brother” Terry and “adopted big sis” Cyndi and her son Jeremy. Clint was preceded in death by his loving grandparents Eugene (Bill) and Mildred Walker and Edward and Marie Crouch, all of McMinnville.
Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in McMinnville. Arrangements are pending. Clint’s ashes will be placed in Mt. Zion Cemetery, at the Parthenon in Nashville, the Coliseum in Rome, Italy, the Pacific Ocean at Carmel, California and in Japan. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Clinton T. Walker Memorial Foundation for Asperger’s Education or the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church. For information call 865-523-4176.
