Lela Myrtle (Mutt) Bilbrey McBride, 95

Mrs. Lela Myrtle (Mutt) Bilbrey McBride, age 95 of the Rock Island community died Dec. 23 at River Park Hospital. She was born Feb. 26, 1912 in Overton County and was a member of the Rock Island Church of Christ, the Rock Island Lions Club and Rock Island Ladies Club. She was a Gold Star Mother and a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of both the American Legion and VFW Post 5064. She was a retired employee of McMinnville Garment Company.

Mrs. McBride was the daughter of the late Darius and Mattie Deck Bilbrey, and was preceded in death by husband Leonard Elbert McBride, son Cordell Lee, Jr., and sisters Mary Lou Boswell andBernice Lee.

She is survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services were Thursday, Dec. 27 at noon at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ed Wilhite and the Rev. Mark Carrigan officiating. Interment followed in Mt. View Cemetery.
