Dovie Gunter Arnett, 94
A housewife and a member of Blues Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Emmie Gunter. She is also preceded in death by her husband Phocean Arnett, son Glen Gunter, daughter Betty Sue Arnett, and stepmother Kate Gunter.
She is survived by daughter Naomi Smith of McMinnville, daughter-in-law Blanche Gunter of McMinnville, halfbrother William Gunter of Murfreesboro and halfsister Dean Mooneyham of Woodbury, eight grandchildren and their spouses Susan and Craig Brandon, Melissa and Dennis Mabry, all of Murfreesboro, Gary Smith, Tony and Kami Smith, all of McMinnville, Glen and Tina Gunter Jr., and Allen and Connie Gunter, all of Michigan, Gerald and Diane Mullins of Kentucky, and Rhonda and Kent McHenry of Washington. Also surviving are 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Blues Hill Presbyterian Church with Bro. Bill Gainey and Bro. Lyon Walkup officiating. Burial will follow at Blues Hill Cemetery. Visitation is today from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. till the time of the service at Woodbury Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blues Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
