Senior John Vaughn, the school?s all-time leading scorer with 307 points, learned last week that he is a finalist for the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award. Vaughn has converted 19 of his 23 field goal attempts this season, ranking him second nationally in field-goal percentage.
Chris Leak needs 65 passing yards in Saturday?s SEC Championship Game to break Danny Wuerffel?s school record of 10,875 career passing yards. Leak threw for 283 yards in last week?s 21-14 victory over Florida State. It was a school-record 32nd 200-yard game for Leak, who is the second quarterback in school history to win twice at Florida State?s Doak Campbell Stadium.
Head coach Mark Richt confirmed Sunday that former Bulldogs standout and current quarterback coach Mike Bobo handled the offensive play-calling in Georgia?s 15-12 victory over ACC Coastal Division champion Georgia Tech. ?I think being the quarterback coach and being upstairs in the coaches booth are both good advantages to a play-caller,? Richt said.
Andre? Woodson had his fifth consecutive 200-yard passing game and 10th of the season last week, but the Wildcats lost to Tennessee for the 22nd straight time. Woodson finished the regular season with 3,216 passing yards, marking the fifth time in program history that a Wildcats quarterback has hit 3,000 passing yards and 3,000 yards total offense in a season.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis was held to a season-low 37 yards in the Rebels? 20-17 victory over Mississippi State and finished just one yard shy of the 1,000-yard mark for the season. The Indiana transfer was Mississippi?s top rusher in all 12 games this season.
Safety Jeramie Johnson and cornerback David Heard were among eight Bulldogs who started every game this season. Johnson, Heard and long-snapper Russell Cook are the only players to play in all 46 of Mississippi State?s games over the past four seasons.
Sidney Rice caught eight passes for 103 yards last week and helped the Gamecocks snap a four-game losing streak to in-state rival Clemson. It was the 10th 100-yard receiving game of Rice?s career, and he is just the sixth player in school history to collect 2,000 career receiving yards.
Robert Meachem set the school?s single-season record for receiving yards in last week?s 17-12 victory over Kentucky. Meachem caught six passes for 116 yards and a touchdown against the Wildcats and will enter the bowl game with 1,265 yards. The former school record was 1,170, set by Marcus Nash in 1997.
Sophomore wide receiver Earl Bennett has been the league?s most prolific receiver for two seasons with 161 grabs. Bennett landed the No. 2 spot on the school?s single-season reception and receiving yards lists by catching 82 passes for 1,146 yards in 2006 as the Commodores went 4-8.
