Astros manager suspended

NEW YORK (AP) – Houston Astros manager Phil Garner was suspended one game after tossing a chair onto the field following his ejection during a loss in Detroit.

The commissioner’s office also suspended San Diego Padres catcher Josh Bard one game for his aggressive actions during a game against Seattle on Sunday. Both were fined an undisclosed amount.
