Annually the Rotary Club of McMinnville presents a scholarship to a deserving student of the Tennessee Technology Center at McMinnville. This year, the recipient was championed by her instructor and selected for her outstanding worker characteristics and community involvement. She carries the recommendation of the school administration.
Winner of the $500 scholarship awarded by Technology Center director Andy Forrester is Melody Burton, a student in the medical assistant program. She is a McMinnville resident.
Burton began her program last October and expects to graduate in August. She has been involved in the school?s American Cancer Society fundraiser, the Christmas drive, and the fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House. She has also worked for Habitat for Humanity.
