Boyd Christian announces top 6 students

POWELL

Boyd Christian principal Eva Ferrell is announcing the top students in the school?s 2006 graduating class led by valedictorian Amanda Prater.

This year marks the eighth graduating class for Boyd.

?These students have displayed outstanding leadership, as well as high academic achievement during the past four years,? said Ferrell. ?We are extremely proud of all of them and predict great future success for each one.?

Prater, who plans to attend Motlow, is the daughter of Mark and Paula Prater of McMinnville. She has attended Boyd since her freshman year.

Following Prater is salutatorian Lydia Powell, the daughter of Jeff and Karen Powell of Woodbury.

Third is Nicholas Gulick, son of Janella Gulick and David and Shannon Gulick of McMinnville, while fourth is Magan Lewis, daughter of Carol and Ronald Lewis of McMinnville.

There is a tie for fifth place between Allison Phillips, daughter of Stan and Jill Phillips of McMinnville, and Alex Porter, daughter of Roy and Tamara Hughes of McMinnville.

Boyd?s graduation is Thursday, May 18 at 7 p.m. at the school.
