Middle Tennessee ralles to beat New Orleans

This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed. — Adam Vogelsberg and reserve Tim Blue scored 19 points each as Middle Tennessee came from behind in the second half Thursday night to beat New Orleans 86-65.

Middle Tennessee (9-9, 2-4 Sun Belt Conference) shot 62.5 percent in the second half to erase a 44-43 Privateers’ halftime lead.

New Orleans (5-13, 2-5) scored just 21 points in the second half and shot only 33.3 percent after the break on the heels of 66.7 percent shooting in the first half.

Reserve Marcus Morrison added 12 points for Middle Tennessee and Fats Cuyler had 11.

The Blue Raiders were 13-of-21 from 3-point range.

Jeremie Davis led the Privateers with 18 points, Jamie McNeilly had 17 and Jacob Manning 11.
