Bowling: Beacon Federal on top by one

The race in the Gold and Silver bowling league keeps getting tighter as Beacon Federal holds a one-point advantage for first place over three other teams.

Crouch Motors, Cumberland Lumber and Dr Pepper are all tied for the No.2 spot with 47 points each. McMinnville Lanes has 43.5, Jones Twins Beauty Salon has 42, Security Federal 33 and Holder Realty has 28.5 points.

Charlene Hollingsworth had the high game of the day for the women with a 199 game and she posted a 479 series. Peggy White had the high series of the with a 515 and turned in a 179 game on the day. Linda Newby rolled a 192 game and a 489 series. Virginia Money had a 180 game. Patty Womack turned in a 163 game and a 475 series and Robbie Bond had a 168 game.

For the men, R.H. Bond rolled a high game of the day with a 217 and he turned in a 521 series. High series went to Gene Money with a 563 as he rolled a 195 game. Wade Tomlin had a 196 game with a 510 series. Larry Patton and John White each turned inn a 190 game with Patton posting a 550 series. Billy Hayes had a 514 series and James Hutchins had a 512 series.

Inn team play Beacon Federal had the high game of the day with a 753 and high series with a 2086.
