Sundrop, Homeland rout foes
Sundrop and Homeland Bank came away with lopsided victories last Monday night in the girls’ 11- and 12-year-old fastpitch softball league.
Sundrop opened the evening with a shutout, downing Tammy’s Little Tykes 20-0.
On their way to the win, Sundrop scored three in the first, seven more runs in the second, four in the third and six more in the fourth inning.
Tessa King had three hits in the winning effort, while Ashlie Roland and Laura Beth McKinley had two each and Chelsea Vaughn had one.
Amber Ray and Kaci Martin had Tammy’s only hits.
Whitney Justice and Katie Wanamaker had three hits apiece for Homeland, while Shelby Knowles and Oshe Smith had two each and Shellie Grissom had one.
Paige Watlington had the only hit for Charley’s.
