County schools face off at annual Rotary Relays

The 17th annual Rotary Relays were held on Volunteers Track at Nunley Stadium Monday afternoon, featuring youngsters from the county’s elementary schools competing in various track and field events.

The track team from Warren County High School and coach Jim Duval were in charge of this year’s event, with help from Rotary and Interact Club volunteers.

Athletes from sixth, seventh and eighth grade competed in the long jump and softball throw, as well as four individual running events and two relay races.

Racers competed in the 50-, 100-, 200- and 400-meter runs, while teams representing each school faced off in the 4×100 and 4×200 relay races.
