James Earl Bouldin, 74
A farmer and a member of Rockliff Church of Christ where he served as an elder since 1972, Bouldin worked actively in the restoration of the Philadelphia Meeting House in Vervilla and was a longtime trustee of Bascom Cemetery. He was a former chairman and board member of Warren Farmers Co-op, a former board member of the Warren County Soil Conservation District, was a current member of Morrison Ruritan with over 30 years of perfect attendance and was a member of Vervilla CIC.
The son of Everett and Cleo Kell Bouldin, he was preceded in death by his wife, Zada Jo O’Neal Bouldin in 1972; brothers-in-law, Jack Smithson, Glenn and Clifton O’Neal.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Hulett Bouldin; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Earl and Vickie Bouldin of Morrison; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Gentry Underhill of Morrison; four grandchildren, Beth Underhill, Jarrod Underhill, Jameson Bouldin and Justin Bouldin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bessie Bouldin Smithson of Morrison, Gladys and John Blanks of Hixson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Winford and Eva Sue Bouldin of Morrison, D.L. and Beth Bouldin, A.P. and Sandra Bouldin, Carl and Marcia Bouldin, all of Viola; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl and Jimmie Hulett of Morrison; sisters-in-law, Christine O’Neal and Mildred O’Neal, both of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Tuesday at Rockliff Church of Christ with Comer Mullican and Joe Gray officiating. Burial followed at Bascom Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Boyd Christian School or Vervilla CIC.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
