Plenty of beauty on display at 51st annual fair

Smedley crowned Fairest of the Fair, Wilson takes Little Fairest honors
Highlighting the 51st annual Warren County A&L Fair were the Baby Show, Little Fairest and Fairest of the Fair pageants, as the three events drew audiences to pack the grandstands.

FAIREST of the FAIR

The coveted Fairest of the Fair title was awarded to Madesta Desiree Smedley, daughter of Rick and Lisa Smedley and a freshman at Motlow State Community College. She was crowned by 2003 Fairest Bethany Crouch, daughter of Barry and Rachel Crouch.

First-runner-up was Emily Margaret Hobbs, daughter of Michael and Margaret Hobbs; second runner-up Leah Gray Cunningham, daughter of Paul and Nancy Cunningham; and third runner-up Mary Beth Gribble, daughter of Larry and Tammie Gribble. Awarded Miss Congeniality honors was Stacie Rachelle Wanamaker, daughter of Jim and Linda Wanamaker.

The remainder among the top 10 were Monica Kathleen Miller, India Starr Ware, Whitney Tenae Dodd, Kara Brooke Green, Hannah Marie Higgins and Andrea Dawn Lavender.

LITTLE FAIREST

Claiming the title of 2004 Little Fairest of the Fair, Lydia Rebecca Wilson, daughter of Shane and Karen Wilson, walked off with top honors following stiff competition from 81 other entrants. The winner was crowned by 2003 Little Fairest Kara MaKenzie Page, daughter of Scott Page, Rhonda and Aaron Cope.

All the little beauties awaiting their moment of glory remained underneath the grandstand between trips to the stage as the group was narrowed to 20 and then 10 before the winner and runners-up were announced.

Named first-runner up was Courtney Paige Blair, daughter of Avery and Linda Blair. Second runner-up was Pamela Madison Brooke Todd, daughter of Jason and April Todd; and completing the royal court was McKayla Blane Todd, third runner-up, daughter of Jamie and Ericka Todd.

The remainder of girls among the top 10 were Abbi Blair Reyes, daughter of Sergio and Cherry Reyes; Nickyha Faith Whipple, daughter of Troy and Helen Whipple; Aubree Ann Weitzel, daughter of Don and Sandee Weitzel; Morgan Tanae Parsley, daughter of William and Jennifer Parsley; Brittany Breedlove, daughter of Michelle Gunning and Brent Breedlove; and Breanna Mount, daughter of Ollie and Carmen Mount.

FAIR BABY SHOW

Over 200 babies between 6 and 36 months of age competed in the various categories at this year’s fair. Sweepstakes winners chosen from blue ribbon recipients include Christa Belle Godwin, daughter of James and Melissa Godwin; Braden Luke Gross, son of Brad and Donna Gross; ODa’Miya Quan QuaSha and OSha’Kiya Qweshawn Chavez, twin daughters of Juan and Erica Chavez. They were crowned by last year’s winners Hailey Ann Wood, daughter of Jay and Keri Wood; Riley Alexander Cope, son of Kane and Emily Cope; and Rylan and Kylan Rhea, twin sons of Jeff and Kimberly Rhea.

Others also receiving blue ribbons were as follows:

Twins – Abigail Evonne and Dakota Allen Hemby, children of Carolyn and Matthew Hemby; Sophia Giovanna and Alexandria Cecilia Hunt, daughters of George and Kimberly Hunt; James Kaylab and Kelby Nicholas Jones, son of Heather and James Jones; Heaven Leigh Hope and Destiny Angel Faith George, daughters of Donald Boyd and Susan George.

Boys – Daniel Scott Norrod, son of Scott Norrod and Valerie Loader; Juan Martin Olalde, son of Stephanie Arnold and Rigoberto Olalde; Easton Kane Snider, son of Jeff and Nikki Snider; Peyton Layne Haston, son of Barry Glenn and Teresa Haston;

Girls – Kailey Lanea Muncey, daughter of Ashley Bailey and Danny Muncey; Chloe Annelise White, daughter of John and Jennifer White; Amy Grace Williamson, daughter of Tommy and Candi Williamson; Riley Lee Crawford, daughter of Blake and Tonya Crawford.
