Check Advance bounces Rogers
Tournament action heated up Saturday in the 7-8 year-old coach pitch league.
In the first game of the day Check Advance defeated Kenneth Rogers Tractor 21-11. The two teams combined for 37 hits on the day.
Check Advance scored three runs in the first inning, three in the second, seven in the third and eight runs in the fourth. Rogers Tractor scored two in the first, five in the third and four runs in the fourth inning.
The big story of the day was when Hunter Bouldin hit the season’s first grand slam and Bradley Stewart hit for the cycle for Check Advance.
For Check Advance, Stewart had four hits, Grant Walker, Joshua Sizemore, Logan Hollandsworth, Keain Hildreth, Drew Davidson and Hunter Bouldin collected three hits each. Jathan Baker and Wyatt Marcum added one hit each. For Kenneth Rogers Tractor, Houston Wood and Trace Taylor led with three hits each.
Samuel Arnold, Trevor Moore, Zachary Stanley and Joseph Webb had two hits each and Neil Matheney added one hit.
Quality Mold jumped all over the Warren County Warriors with 31 hits to take the 27-8 win.
Quality Mold scored eight runs in the first inning, seven in the second, six in the third, five in the fourth and one in the fifth. The Warriors scored five runs in the third and three runs in the fourth inning.
For Quality Mold, Dusty Ledbetter had five hits. Eric Adamson, Chase Frye, Chase Hoke and Tyler Judge had four hits each. Tristan Smith, Wesley Parkhurst and Gavin Laxson had three hits each and Harrison Hale added two hits. For the Warriors, Casey Cantrell, Hunter Coopinger and Cameron Roller had three hits each. Jett Urtubees, Hunter King, Rayce Brewer and Ethan Bandy had two hits each. Cade Carlson and Clayton Myers added one hit each.
