Warren County native Ida Mae Melton Underwood, 86, died Feb. 17 in Columbia after an extended illness.
A homemaker and member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late George Ernest and Audie Eskel Saddler Melton. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Marcus Underwood.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, George Michael and Linda Underwood of Byron, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Janice Katherine and Sam Shepherd of Mt. Pleasant; stepson, William Ralph Underwood of LaVergne; sisters, Ree Brady of Sparta, Ruth Melton of McMinnville and Juanita Smith of Centertown; grandchildren, Darrell Shepherd, Bill Shepherd, Scott Shepherd, Laura Mixon, Marcus Underwood and Shauna Underwood; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Woodbury Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Blues Hill Cemetery.

Alice R. Milstead, 92
Viola resident and Warren County native Alice R. Milstead, 92, died Feb. 19 at River Park Hospital.
A retired merchant with Viola Bargain Store and a member of Morrison First Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late James Garrett and Zillah Elmina Roach Milstead; and was preceded in death by her sisters, Cleo Woodlee, Myrtle Lawrence, Flora Milstead, Hassie Milstead and Etter Milstead; and brothers, Alton Milstead and Alvin Garrett Milstead.
She is survived by her nieces, Joice Milstead Mayes of McMinnville and Elaine Milstead Mason of Knoxville; and nephews, James T. Milstead and Glenn Ray Milstead, both of McMinnville and Russell Lawrence and Kevin Lawrence, both of Viola.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Ronnie Powell officiating.

Billy Dwayne Woodlee, 37
Rock Island resident and Van Buren County native Billy Dwayne Woodlee, 37, died Feb. 18 at NHC Healthcare after an extended illness.
A employee of Ben Lomand Telephone Cooperative and member of Laurel Creek Baptist Church, he was the son of William B. Woodlee and June and Preston Huckeby; and was preceded in death by grandfather, John C. Hale and uncle, Bob Hale.
He is survived by his fianc?, Sandra Crouch and her son, Jamison Crouch of McMinnville; parents, June and Preston Huckeby of Rock Island; brother Harrison Woodlee of Rock Island; step-brother and step-sister-in-law, David and Carrie Huckeby of Rock Island; grandmother, Mary Etta Hale of Bone Cave; uncle, Mason Hale of Bone Cave; cousin, Tammie Gribble of Rock Island; and step-niece and nephew, Kelci Huckeby and Nelson Huckeby, both of Rock Island.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at High’s Chapel with Roy Terry and Bob Case officiating. Burial will follow at Laurel Creek Cemetery in Van Buren County. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service today at High’s.

Alene Kirby, 89
McMinnville resident and Warren County native Alene Kirby, 89, died Feb. 17.
A retired assistant superintendent of McMinnville Garment Company and a member of Bethany Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Roy E. and Wavie Myers Wood; and was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn J. Kirby; brother, Roy E. Wood Jr.; and sister, Nola Pendleton.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Joe Lane Howard of McMinnville; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Barry and Sharon Howard of Franklin; and step-great-grandchildren, Tate and Brooke Elder.
Services were held yesterday at High’s Chapel with David Costello officiating. Burial followed at Bethany Cemetery.

Joel (Buddy) Majors Sr., 64
McMinnville resident and Hardin County native Joel (Buddy) Majors Sr., 64, died Feb. 18 at River Park Hospital after a lingering illness.
A member of Mt. Leo Church of Christ, he was the son Jarvis Burke and Jean Majors; and was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Majors; and his father, Jarvis Burke Majors.
He is survived by his mother, Jean Majors; sons and daughters-in-law, Buddy, Jr. and Lisha Majors, Micah Majors, Tim and Terri Majors and Daniel and Twanelle Majors, all of McMinnville; daughter, Marley Majors of Dechard; grandchildren, Lucas, Olivia, Austin, Brooks, Toye, Brock, Tia, Treeah, Chloe, Riley and Ginger Majors and Matthew and Rachel Cotten, all of McMinnville; sisters, Jeanette Hardin and Jan Hoover, both of Baytown, Texas and Judy Martin and Jeana Grace, both of Savannah; and brother, Jon Majors of Pickwick.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at High’s Chapel with Lane Dix and Bobby Newby officiating. Burial will follow at Stroud Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service tomorrow at High’s.

Wauline Allmon Duggin, 83
Woodbury resident and Cannon County native Wauline Allmon Duggin, 83, died Feb. 18 at her residence after a short illness.
She was office manager at Marshall Duggin, Attorney at Law, a member of Woodbury and Ivy Bluff Home Demonstration Clubs, an American Cancer Society volunteer and a member of Woodbury Church of Christ. She was the daughter of the late C.H. (Cap) and Hattie Brewer Allmon.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Marshall E. Duggin; daughters and son-in-law, Janet and Harry Lee Barnes of Morrison and Bette and Jon Lines of McMinnville; grandchildren, Cynthia Judkins and Valerie Bush, both of McMinnville, Stephanie Barnes of Morrison and Sean Lines of McMinnville; great-grandchildren, Jared Judkins, Abbie Judkins and Blake Bush, all of Woodbury; and sisters, Lyda Parker of Bradyville and Gladys Pierce of Orlando, Fla.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Woodbury Funeral Home Chapel with Herb Alsup and Odell Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Gardens Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Wauline A. Duggin Trust Fund for Woodbury Church of Christ and the Christian Children’s Fund. Additional donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
