McMinnville resident and Trenton, N.J., native Peggy Ann Johnstone, 50, died Feb. 14 at River Park Hospital.
A homemaker and member of the Catholic Church, she was the daughter of the late James and Delores Sexton Dewey.
She is survived by her husband, James Charles Johnstone; daughters, Sarah Rembiszewski and Kimberly Johnstone, both of McMinnville; sons, Keith Rembiszewski, Christopher Rembiszewski and Patrick Rembiszewski, all of McMinnville, Robert Rembiszewski of Chicago, Ill., David Rembiszewski of Billings, Mont., and James Rembiszewski of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister Rosie Fisher of Duquoin, Ill.; and brother, James Dewey of Tinley Park, Ill.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Bretl officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service tomorrow at McMinnville Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. tonight during visitation.

James Clayton Shockley, 82
Spencer resident and Van Buren County native James Clayton Shockley, 82, died Feb. 17 at Generation Health Care after an extended illness.
A farmer and factory worker, he was a member of the Church of Christ. He was the son of the late Waymon and Ruthie McCormick Shockley; and was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma B. Shockley; and son, Donald Shockley.
He is survived by his daughters, Emma Jean Crain of Spencer and Gail Martin of Tullahoma; sister, Edith Grissom of Spencer; brother, Jessie Shockley of Spencer; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Love-Cantrell & Cope Spencer Chapel with Haskell Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Shockley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until the time of the service tomorrow at Love-Cantrell & Cope Spencer Chapel.

Bobby L. Crouch, 59
McMinnville resident and Warren County native Bobby L. Crouch, 59, died Feb. 16 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Former owner of Crouch Builders Hardware and owner of B.L. Crouch Used Furniture at Newtown; and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Willie L. and Della Hinson Crouch.
He is survived by his children, Sandra Crouch, Barry Crouch and Christy Green, all of McMinnville; grandchildren, Jamison Crouch, Johnathon Green, Bethany Crouch, Summer Crouch and Andrew Crouch, all of McMinnville; and sister, Rita Stanley of McMinnville.
Graveside services were held yesterday at Mt. View Cemetery with Carl Stanley officiating.

Vera Idela Hash, 85
Doyle resident and Oklahoma City, Okla., native Vera Idela Hash, 85, died Feb. 16 at NHC Healthcare in Sparta after an extended illness.
A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Alice Hartbarger Teeters; and was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hash; son, Kendale Hash; grandchild, Julia Tanner; sister, Reva Satterwhite; and brother, James Teeters.
She is survived by daughters, Sarah Tindale and Pam Howser, both of Sparta, Patricia Watts of McMinnville, and Marilyn Hughes of Doyle; son, J.D. Hash of Rock Island; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at High’s Chapel with Dwight Fuqua officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until the time of the service today at High’s.

Stella Sarene Hoover, 84
Morrison resident and Coffee County native Stella Sarene Hoover, 84, died Feb. 16 at River Park Hospital after a sudden illness.
A homemaker and member of Morrison Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Cisiro Bonner and Flora Bryan Fults; and was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Hoover, in 2000.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Judy Hoover of Morrison; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Mitchell of Morrison, Mary and Larry Rigsby, and Brenda and Gary Martin, all of Rock Island; grandchildren, Rachel Vanatta, Carolyn Vandergriff, Jeffery Hoover, Stephen Hoover, Angela Rigsby, Ronnie Hoover, Aaron Rigsby, Rex Martin and Betsy Harrell; 10 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Leoma Hoover of McMinnville; and sister, Lizzie Mae Hoover of Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Morrison Cemetery with Ken Willis officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. today at High Funeral Home.

Jasper Phillips, 80
Wartburg resident Jasper Phillips, 80, died Feb. 14.
A ranger with the Tennessee Department of Forestry for over 35 years, he was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for over 56 years. He served his country during World War II as a member of the U.S. Army stationed in the South Pacific; and was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Phillips; parents, Sherman and Mary Phillips; sisters, Dixie and Josephine; and brothers, Jesse Phillips and John Phillips.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Roger Elliot of Hendersonville and Diana and Ronald Powell of McMinnville; grandchildren, Richard, Micki, Tammy, Jesse, Carrie and Becky; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers, James Phillips and Junior Phillips, both of Wartburg.
Services were held Monday at Liberty Baptist Church in Wartburg with Ronald Powell, Roger Elliot and Dr. Paul Frick officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
