Eighteen people were sentenced last week by Judge Bart Stanley in Circuit Court.

Included in court action:

• Oscar Castenda was ordered to serve 15 years on two counts of burglary. His lengthy sentence comes after he burglarized the same nursery company on two different occasions. He was on probation with an extensive prior criminal record at the time of the break-ins.

• Jerry McCormick was directed to serve three years and pay $2,000 plus costs for attempted manufacture of methamphetamine.

• Sherry Darlene Turner was instructed to serve 90 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and pay $750 plus costs for possession of meth.

• Joe Blanton Campbell was instructed to serve 90 days of a three-year sentence and pay $2,000 plus costs for manufacture of meth and child neglect.

• Amanda Borden was ordered to serve 60 days of an 11-29 sentence and pay $750 plus costs for simple possession of drugs.

• Royce Edward Prater was directed to serve 38 days of a two-year sentence and make restitution for theft and assault.

• Tyson Scott was directed to serve 30 days of an 11-29 sentence, perform 24 hours public service work and pay $750 plus costs for casual exchange of marijuana.

• Tony Moore had his probation extended by six months for violation of probation.

• Freddie Eldridge must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.

• Amanda Cox must serve the balance of her sentence for violation of probation.

• Gabriel Womack must serve the balance of sentence for violation of probation.

• Joseph Fulton must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.

• Billy W. Adams must serve 90 days and have his probation extended by six months for violation of probation.

• Charles A. Turner must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.

• Tammy D. Giddeons must serve six months for violation of probation.

• Albert Cantrell must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.

• Richard Holt must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.

• Phillip Haston must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.

• Alton Childers must serve 90 days for violation of probation.

• Roger Kent Cook, writer of “What’s Cooking,” is not the Roger Cook charged with DUI.
