McMinnville resident and Warren County native Doris Marie Zechman, 86, died Nov. 27 at NHC Healthcare after an extended illness.
A retired homemaker and substitute teacher and a member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of James Will and Lula M. McGee; and was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Zechman in 1986; son, George (Buzz) Zechman II; and brothers, William B. and Jimmy McGee.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Patricia Zechman of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette Eatherly and Donald Henre of Hunt Vally, Md.; grandchildren, Christie Watson, Leslie and Lauren Zechman; great-granddaughter, Bliss Zechman; and sister-in-law, Azalee McGee of McMinnville.
Services were held Saturday at High’s Chapel with Kirk Brothers officiating. Burial followed at Mt. View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Magness Memorial Library or Central Church of Christ Retirement Village.

James Leslie Henegar, 63
McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Leslie Henegar, 63, died Nov. 28 at NHC in McMinnville after an extended illness.
The owner of Leslie’s Trophies and a member of Mt. Leo Church of Christ, he was the son of the late James Melton and Anna Gladys Woods Henegar.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Henegar; daughter and son-in-law, Margia and Scottie Keel of McMinnville; sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Kim Henegar, Rick and Tina Henegar, all of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Bob Wright of Jackson, Mich.; and grandchildren, Japheth, Bailey, Eli and Marlie Henegar and Zachary Keel.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Lane Dix officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service today at McMinnville Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Share A Christmas Dinner in care of the Southern Standard at P.O. Box 150, McMinnville, Tenn., 37111.

Harris C. Jacobs Jr., 73
Morrison resident and Warren County native Harris Clark Jacobs Jr., 73, died Nov. 28 at his home after an extended illness.
A supervisor with AEDC, he served as mayor of Morrison for 33 years. He was a charter member of Morrison Ruritan Club, assistant chief with Morrison Fire Department and a longtime song leader and Sunday School teacher at Morrison United Methodist Church where he was a member. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
The son of Harris C. and Nelle Fults Jacobs Sr.; he is survived by his wife, Gladys Henry Jacobs; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Shannon Jacobs of McMinnville; daughter, Pattie Zimmerman of Nashville; and grandson, John Jacobs of McMinnville.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at High’s Chapel with Eugene Green and James Kayler officiating. Burial will follow at Morrison Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service today at High’s. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lazarus House Hospice or Morrison United Methodist Church building fund.

Laura Danielle Jones Crabtree, 26
McMinnville resident and Oak Ridge native Laura Danielle Jones Crabtree, 26, died unexpectedly Nov. 28 at Vanderbilt Hospital.
A waitress at the VFW, she was the daughter of Christine Hawkins of McMinnville and Jack L. Jones of Johnsonville, S.C.
She is survived by daughters, Zoe Cleo Crabtree of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Isabell Maria Newby of McMinnville; son, Nathaniel Doyle Newby of McMinnville; sister, Jessica Lynn Farr of McMinnville; grandparents, Frank and Betty Hawkins of McMinnville and Betty McGinnis of Knoxville; and nephews, Addison Daniel Farr and Jakeb Makennly Farr.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at High’s Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today and noon until time of service Monday at High’s.

Manie Ruth Beechum, 84
McMinnville resident and Benton County native Manie Ruth Beechum, 84, died unexpectedly Nov. 28 at River Park Hospital.
A homemaker and a member of Bethel Hill Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Troy and Bertis Rainwater Alsup; and was preceded in death by her husband, Benton Beechum; son, Jim Beechum; and daughter, Joyce Beechum.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Bill McCormick of McMinnville, Jean and Bobby Earls of Winchester; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Linda Beechum, Don and Debra Beechum, all of McMinnville; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home Chapel with John Padgett officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until time of service today at Love-Cantrell & Cope.

Audrey Gladys Madewell, 82
Spencer resident and Van Buren County native Audrey Gladys Madewell, 82, died Nov. 27 at Generations Healthcare after an extended illness.
A retired factory worker and a member of the Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Marion A. and Ida Mary Mooneyham Simmons; and was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Madewell in 2001.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Maxine and Rob Jones of McMinnville; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Shirley Madewell, Eugene and Wilma Madewell, all of Spencer; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home Spencer Chapel with Danny Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Town Cemetery.

Elaine Copeland Walker, 56
McMinnville resident and Warren County native Elaine Copeland Walker, 56, died Nov. 29 at her sister’s home in McMinnville.
A retired Kmart employee and a current employee of Wal-Mart, she was a member of Westside Baptist Church and was the daughter of Juanita Copeland of McMinnville and the late Marshall Lee Copeland.
She is survived by her husband, Freddie Walker; son, Earl Lynn Walker of McMinnville; granddaughter, Christinia Walker of Murfreesboro; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Robert Rich of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Judy Copeland of Smartt; and mother-in-law, Vada Pauline Cutts of McMinnville.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at McMinnville Funeral Home with Tommy Lusk officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at McMinnville Funeral Home..

Christine Davenport, 74
Belleville, Mich., resident and Woodbury native Christine Davenport, 74, died Nov. 28 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich.
A member of Stony Creek Freewill Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Thankful (Manus) Prater.
She is survived by children and their spouses, Harlan and Sara Davenport , Steve and Becky Davenport, Mark and Theresa Davenport Sr., all of Belleville, Diane and David Holland of Orlando; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Sammy and Mazel Prater; sisters and brother-in-law, Carlene and Clark Raines, and Beulah Merriman; sisters-in-law, Ona Prater of Woodbury and Cleo Jacobs of Centertown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey C. Davenport, grandson, Mark Davenport Jr., nine brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at David C. Brown Funeral Home in Belleville with Wayne E. Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Belleville. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight and 1 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund or American Diabetes Association.
