Saddle Club horse show scheduled for October 4
Warren County Saddle Club members are sponsoring an open horse show Sat., Oct. 4 with a variety of classes for all ages.
The show offers 100 percent payback through three positions in each class, with the exception being the championship class with that winner receiving all the purse. A $5 admission fee at the gate will be charged, with entry fees being: pony and youth classes, $5; adult and open classes, $10; and championship class, $15.
Trail classes will begin at 6 p.m. with the other classes beginning at 7 p.m. A short intermission following the halter championship class will be held to allow for necessary tack changes. Speed classes will be divided into pee-wee on ponies under 52 inches, youth and adult classes.
Some of the classes available are halter divisions for quarter and walking horses, pleasure classes for saddle, plantation, spotted and western horses. Speed events include pole bending, one-, two- and three-barrel races, with an open 3D three-barrel division.
