General Sessions: Meth, other charges get Davenport bound to grand jury
An 86-person docket was heard Tuesday by Judge Larry Ross in General Sessions Court.
Included in court action:
• Randy Davenport was bound over to the grand jury on charges of manufacture of meth, possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license.
• Mickey Campbell was bound over to the grand jury on the charge of possession of drugs. He must also serve the balance of his sentence on a prior conviction for violation of probation.
• Trina Campbell was bound over to the grand jury on the charge of simple possession of drugs.
• Steve Todd was bound over to the grand jury on the charge of manufacture of meth.
• Jerry Preston Cantrell was ordered to serve 45 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and pay $1,000 plus costs for manufacture of meth and simple possession of drugs.
• Jerry Cass was issued a six-month probationary sentence and must pay $250 plus costs and perform 16 hours public service work for simple possession of marijuana.
• Misty Newby was issued a six-month probationary sentence for assault.
• Christopher Simmons was bound over to the grand jury on charges of assault and reckless endangerment.
• Jeremiah King was directed to serve 10 days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $50 plus costs, attend anger management courses and perform 60 hours public service work for assault and vandalism.
• Timothy Dudley was instructed to serve 30 days of an 11-29 sentence and have his probation extended by six months for assault and violation of probation.
• Tracy Grissom was given an 11-29 probationary sentence and must attend anger management courses for assault.
• Rebecca King was instructed to serve 10 days of an 11-29 sentence and pay $50 plus costs for assault.
• Marvin McCoy was bound over to the grand jury on the charge of false imprisonment.
• Dane Briest was bound over to the grand jury on charges of aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000.
• Jeremy Smartt was bound over to the grand jury on charges of aggravated burglary and theft.
• George Demond Wade was directed to serve 110 days of an 11-29 sentence, make restitution, attend anger management courses and have his probation extended by six months for vandalism, theft, assault, violation of probation and failure to appear in court.
• Jeremy McMinn was granted a six-month judicial diversion and must pay $125 plus costs and stay out of Wal-Mart for two years for theft.
• Shawn Earls was given an 11-29 probationary sentence for criminal trespass.
• Tammie Marie Bollenbeck was fined $85 plus costs and must perform eight hours public service work for vandalism.
• Raymond Borges Jr. was issued a six-month probationary sentence for passing three worthless checks totaling $51.
• Kelly Bridges was given a six-month probationary sentence for passing a worthless check in the amount of $169
• Amanda Burks was handed a six-month probationary sentence and must pay $10 plus costs for passing a worthless check in the amount of $11.
• Tanya Smith was given a six-month probationary sentence and must perform eight hours public service work for passing two worthless checks totaling $118.
• Alan Smeltzer was directed to serve 10 days of an 11-29 sentence and pay $80 plus costs for passing a worthless check in the amount of $168.
• Thomas Hill was fined $50 plus costs and must perform 16 hours public service work for consumption of alcohol under the age of 21.
• Ruben C. Gonzalez and Rogelio Vega were fined $10 plus costs for public intoxication.
• Travis Ray Taylor must serve 48 hours of a six-month sentence for filing a false report.
• Kevin Eldridge must serve 60 days and have his probation extended by six months for violation of probation.
• Kenneth Lawson must serve 10 days for failure to appear in court.
• Angela Walker must serve 48 hours for violation of probation.
• Darla Templeton must serve 10 days for violation of probation.
• Richard Taylor must serve 30 days for violation of probation.
• Nicholas Taylor must serve 30 days for violation of probation.
• Shannon Newby must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation. He must also serve 20 additional days for contempt of court.
• Freddie Eldridge must serve 20 days for failure to appear in court.
• Timothy Davis had his probation extended by six months for violation of probation.
Clarifications:
• Kim Cantrell of Harrison Ferry Road who is an employee of Ben Lomand Telephone, is not the person charged with manufacture of meth and possession of marijuana who was bound over July 30.
• Tina Rene Wilson, an employee of DTC Communications, is not the same person charged with statutory rape.
