Health fair held Saturday at the mall

River Park Hospital plays host to the 14th annual Women’s and Children’s Fair this Saturday at Three Star Mall. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Activities planned for center stage include a puppet show presented by Pioneer Puppets, story time presented by Bookland, a presentation from Paula’s Dance Academy, and a spring and summer fashion show presented by Three Star Mall.

There will be several exhibits, including child’s finger printing, information on starting a child’s savings account and starting a college fund. Diabetes, nutrition, body fat analysis and blood pressure are just a few of the many screenings that will be available. There will also be a child’s safety seat check in front of the mall, so drive your car up and get it checked to see if your car seat is installed correctly.

Also vision, dental and obstetric doctors will be on hand to give information on your health and family’s health. Bonnie Bear, the Crash Dummies and Tommy T. Giraffe will also make appearances.

The show gives women the opportunity to learn the latest on raising their little one and discover key parenting skills.
