Sylvia Jean Roberts Panter, 66

McMinnville resident and Grundy County native Sylvia Jean Roberts Panter, 66, died Sept. 15 at her home after an extended illness.

A homemaker and a member of the Church of God, she was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Roberts of Campaign and the late Annie Lee King Roberts.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Lori Panter of Smithville; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Jeff Jones, Oma and Denton Richardson, all of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Charlene Roberts of McMinnville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita and Billy Dixon, Judy and Glen Jennings, Marilyn and Gary Myers, all of McMinnville; aunt, Bea Hillis of McMinnville; uncle, Lannie King of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Nunley and Deon King officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until time of service today at Love-Cantrell & Cope.
