McGee relatives hold reunion

The 64th annual McGee reunion was held in the fellowship hall of Shellsford Baptist Church. The blessing for the food was offered by Josh Basinger, pastor of the church.

Jane Allison presided at the business meeting. Those recognized from out of town were Georgia and Ben Parker, Melissa and William Ellis of Indiana; Jim, Sharon, Becky and Jeff McGee of Nashville; Clarence A. McGee and Lee Ann Kip, Colt and Garrett Gunnells from Smyrna; Chip, Serena and Amber Yancy of Woodbury and Janice and Don Yancy Jr. of Birmingham.

Correspondence and annual reports were read by Shirley Douglass. Newly-elected officers are Clarence A. McGee, president; Jessie Floyd McGee, vice president; Douglass, secretary/ treasurer; and Malinda Brown, general manager. Family historians appointed were Jim McGee, Dean McGee, Georgia Parker and Melissa Ellis.

Entertainment was provided by singer and guitarist Kip Gunnells.

Others attending were Willa Dean Savage, Clata Kell, Ann Grove, Eloda Lorraine, Tracy and Danny Herrin, Tom, Pam, Matt, Micah and Merek McColloch, Ken Stewart, Charles and Lorriane Yancy, Jessie Floyd and June McGee, David and Diane Pendergraph and Dakota McGowan.
