Nunley nosedives into third

It’s a whole new ballgame.

Sports editor Rob Nunley struggled last week, and heading into tonight’s FSU-Miami game trailed Dale Stubblefield and the “On the Line” guest pickers by a game after leading through two weeks.

“I had to give them some hope — that’s all this is,” Nunley said. “It wouldn’t be interesting if I just ran away with it all so early.”

Stubblefield went 8-1 without the Miami-FSU game, while Duane Sherrill, James Clark and guest picker Steve Otto all were 7-2 and Pat Zechman finished 6-3. As for tonight’s game, Nunley and Clark have Florida State, while the rest of the panel took Miami.

This week’s guest picker is local radio newscaster and play-by-play man for WCHS sports, Jay Walker.
