Banquet recognizes top Warren County High students

MAYFIELD
The top students of the junior and senior classes at Warren County High School gathered there Thursday night to be honored at the annual Academic Banquet sponsored by First National Bank.

Honored by the bank were the top 10 percent of the classes of 2003 and 2002. The students and their parents were first treated to a meal which was served by employees of First National. Afterward, each student was given a plaque recognizing their achievements. The members of the top 10 of the senior class were also each given a 2002 silver dollar.

The top 10 seniors, as previously announced, are: Lindsi Elise Mayfield, Ty Aaron Slatton, Traci Lashea Jones, Sonja Leann Woods, Tiffany S. Keimi-Nunley, Zachary John Pelham, Miranda Ann Atnip, Rachel Elizabeth Underhill, Erica Lynn Grove and Jacob Milan Mitchell.

First National Bank Chairman and CEO Charles Jacobs presented the honored students with three challenges. “First, have gratitude, especially for the people who have helped you – namely your parents and teachers. Second, treasure your memories and remember your roots here in Warren County. Third, protect your character. It’s something nobody can destroy but you.”

“And remember, we expect great things from you in the future,” Jacobs said.
