Underhill, Holmes two-hit Reds
Caleb Underhill and Garrison Holmes combined on a two-hitter Tuesday night, helping the Security Federal Giants remain undefeated as they dropped the Hills Creek Reds, 9-1.
Underhill pitched four innings of one-hit, shutout baseball, fanning 12 batters, while Holmes pitched the fifth and sixth, striking out two and allowing the Reds’ only run.
With the win, the Giants improved to 7-0 in the 11-12 Cal Ripken standings.
Nathan Patterson tripled and finished with a 3-for-3 day at the plate, while Kaleb Tilton and Underhill had two hits each. Tilton finished with a double and a triple.
The Giants’ other hits came from Cody Fults, Cole Warden and August Palombo.
Brian Rhoady and David Cross had the Reds’ only hits, with Rhoady scoring his team’s lone run in the top of the sixth.
Connor Dixon pitched four innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs while fanning nine batters in a losing effort. The Reds’ Lazaro Alvarez and Rhoady worked an inning each out of the pen.

Braves 3, Rangers 2
Kaleb Rymer pitched six innings to pick up the win, and helped his cause with a 3-for-3 day at the plate, as Medley’s Braves handed Rubley’s Rangers their first loss of the season Tuesday night.
Rymer surrendered five hits and walked four, fanning nine Rangers on his way to the win.
The Braves’ other hit came from Caleb Northcutt.
Justin Ware took the loss, pitching six innings and giving up three runs on four hits and seven walks. He struck out eight Braves batters before being relieved by Zach Rubley.
Rubley, Slater Parks, Ware, Dylan Jones and Nick Grandey had a hit each for the Rangers.
Cardinals 8, A’s 0
The Gateway Tire Cardinals’ Tyler Glenn and Tylan Martin two-hit the Woodlee’s Auto Body A’s on their way to a shutout victory.
Glenn pitched four innings, picking up the win with a one-hit, seven-strikeout performance, and Martin came on in the fifth, fanning two and walking two.
J.T. Morgan went 3-for-4 with two doubles to pace the Cards at the plate, while Jacob Reagan had two hits and Martin, Joel Rowland, Glenn and Micah McColloch had a hit each.
For the A’s, Aaron Taylor and Brett Mulican had a hit each. Derek Brumley got the loss, pitching four innings and fanning eight batters while allowing two runs. Daniel Carter and Mullican came in out of the bullpen, working an inning apiece.
Tigers 9, Yankees 5
Cameron Moore, Mac Britton, Luke Hillis, Mitchell Page and McCain Smock had a hit each as the Outdoor Shop Tigers downed Morris’ Auto Body Yankees.
Michael Gallagher got the win, working three innings and surrendering two runs, while Cameron Moore pitched two innings of one-run relief and Luke Hillis worked the sixth, giving up two runs.
The Yankees’ Chase Stewart took the loss, pitching three innings and giving up five runs (four earned) on a hit and six walks. He struck out seven batters. Logan Walker pitched an inning of relief, giving up four runs on four hits, and Hunter Dye worked a hitless fifth and sixth, striking out four batters.
Walker and Stewart had two hits each for the Yanks, while Cory Sydenstricker and Will Warren had a hit apiece.
