Celebrate Christmas on the mountain

Friends of Fall Creek Falls is presenting their annual Christmas on the Mountain celebration at the Fall Creek Falls Inn starting today and running through Sunday.

Heritage Christian Academy will showcase holiday and gospel songs on Friday beginning at 6 p.m. in the Inn lobby. Santa Claus will arrive at 7:30 p.m. to visit with children. Craft vendors will be selling their wares from 5 – 9 p.m.

Be sure to stop and listen to the cheerful Christmas caroling outside the Inn in the parking area.

Saturday activities include tea parties, stories and fun for children. Sign up by calling 423-881-3297. Children can join Curtis in the lobby of the inn prior to the tea party to make Christmas crafts. Crafters will be open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Saturday entertainment includes: Chosen Generation at 1:30 p.m.; Jim Ricketts at 2 p.m.; Sampson Freewill Baptist at 2:30 p.m.; Larry Pope at 3 p.m.; Melissa Bayless at 3:30 p.m.; Cheryl Hensley at 4 p.m.; Mt. Crest United Methodist at 4:30 p.m.; Family Ties at 5 p.m. and Santa?s arrival at 6 p.m.

Craft exhibitions continue through Sunday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Approximately 50 vendors will be set up in the various conference rooms with a variety of items available. Chris Johnson will be displaying drums, aprons and leather items; Warren Countains Carolyn and Randall Bickford will have their booth full of homemade breads, cookies, jams and jellies. Warren County resident Rita Hamilton features home-made beef jerky, candy, pies and delicious cakes, just in time for the holidays.

Wire wrapped jewelry, painted rocks, various wooden items, clothing designs, stained glass items and numerous other unique craft treasures will be available.
