Walter Andrew Sparkman, 76

Crossville resident and Warren County native Walter Andrew Sparkman, 76, was born Sept. 29, 1930 and died Nov. 26 at Country Place Health Care Center in Crossville following an extended illness.

A member of the Church of God, he was the son of the late James Walter and Angeline Mayfield Sparkman. He is survived by two brothers, Mack Sparkman of McMinnville and Lonnie Sparkman of Ohio and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County with J. Stanley Sparkman and T.K. Sparkman officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. Thursday at High’s.

High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
