Public invited to visit new dialysis clinic

The clinic, located at 1524 Sparta Street, will hold a grand opening celebration from 1 to 3:30 p.m. with a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. There will be entertainment, refreshments, and all attendees can register for a TV/VCR giveaway.
R.P. Sabo, M.D., a board-certified nephrologist with more than 15 years experience in the field, will serve as the clinic’s medical director. Sabo is fellowship-trained in nephrology, having spent extra time becoming specialized in the area at the University of Kentucky.
“This is an exciting time for all of McMinnville area dialysis patients and their families,” Dr. Sabo says. “Not only will they have the convenient care this clinic provides, but they have access to the latest medical technology, technology that used to be available only in large cities.”
The new clinic is approximately 7,200 square feet and will have 16 patient chairs, offering a variety of shift options to patients. In addition to state-of-the-art technology, the clinic will have many amenities for patients, such as individual flat-screen TVs, personal lockers and oversized chairs for comfort.
McMinnville Dialysis Clinic was created to offer local dialysis patients a full spectrum of dialysis care close to home. Often dialysis patients have to travel great distances to see their doctors or to receive emergency treatments.
Along with the full spectrum of dialysis care, patient visits and medical consults, Dr. Sabo is able to perform kidney biopsies, during which a small piece of tissue is removed from the kidney and analyzed to determine kidney function.
McMinnville Dialysis Clinic is an affiliate of National Renal Alliance, LLC. National Renal is based in Franklin, Tenn., and is a national provider of renal disease management services, focusing on meeting the needs of underserved and non-urban communities.
