Car and motorcycle show set for July 5
The Warren County Bicentennial Steering Committee is announcing a special Bicentennial Car and Motorcycle Show to be held July 5 downtown in the block between Regions Bank and Spring Street.
Time of the show will be from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Trophies will be awarded at 11 a.m. Entry forms for the Bicentennial Car Show are available at Myers Communications in the Lowe’s Shopping Center.
Entry fees are: 1 vehicle, $15; 2 vehicles, $25; 3 vehicles, $30. Trophies will be awarded by the dollar amount of entry fees divided by number of trophies.
The show is an officially sanctioned Bicentennial event and special Bicentennial logo trophies will be presented to the winners.
The Bicentennial Trophy, similar to the Best of Show trophy pictured along with this article, will be awarded in the following categories:

‘ Best Chevrolet
‘ Best Ford
‘ Best Dodge
‘ Best Pontiac
‘ Best Engine
‘ Best Interior
‘ Best Paint
‘ Best Unfinished
Entry to the car show will be on Spring Street in front of Warren County Furniture store, then angle parking in the block from Court Square to Spring Street and down Main Street as needed.
The ‘Fun Run’ will be completed before the car show starts and the show ends prior to the Bicentennial Parade that lines up in front of the Blue building. All vehicles are encouraged to enter into the parade. To register for the parade see Carol Cantrell at the Warren County Executive’s Office.
There will also be a tractor show in the block in front of Park Theater.
